Nestled among the pines in central Wisconsin are 230 acres of pristine forest land, prairie fields, wildlife, and a private lake brimming with fish. For over 47 years God has blessed the Wisconsin Association of Regular Baptist Churches' with a beautiful camp to be used in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others. Hundreds of people each year find at Camp Fairwood a refuge from the storms of life.
Camp Fairwood is a year-round ministry with six weeks of summer camp for youth and families and about 32 retreats throughout the year. There are two full-time employees of Camp, the director, and the maintenance manager.
There are 28 buildings on the camp grounds. Thirteen cabins are used year-round and sleep about 10 people each. Nine additional cabins are available for summer use and sleep 10 people each.
Our most functional and widely used building is our dining hall which can seat 180 people. Our chapel is uniquely located in the loft of a barn and can also seat 175 people. We have 2 sports fields available for games, a one-acre spring-fed swimming lake, a 5-acre fishing lake, a rifle and archery range, basketball/volleyball courts and 4 miles of beautifully groomed walking and snow-shoeing trails.
Each day of summer camp we have an intentional small group session led by the counselor in the morning. We also have a morning and evening Bible session in the chapel with our speaker of the week. We offer skill times for youth to enjoy archery, rifle range, boating, fishing, crafts and much more. We have an equestrian program where campers enjoy riding horses on the Camp trails. We have paint ball available for all campers who wish to enjoy this exciting game. We also offer tubing down the Mecan River for our Senior High and Family campers.
