Great News for Camp Fairwood!
As you know we have been running into wall after wall with the sprinkler system. Once we accepted that we had to put in a sprinkler system, we tried to get the state to approve a “bare bones” system without the water tanks and fire pumps that demand a lot of room (which we don’t have) and a lot of money (which we don’t have). It looked like we were going to have to put in this expensive system which would create many new problems for us. I really don’t know how we could have put this kind of system into this cabin.
On Friday, December 18, I received a call from the Department of Commerce, Building Plan Reviewer. He said, “Brad, I have some good news for you. You don’t have to put ANY sprinkler system into the cabin. Merry Christmas!” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing! I was joyously befuddled! I asked several times, “Are you sure!? Are you sure we don’t have to put ANY sprinkler system in the new cabin?” He assured me several times that this would not be necessary and that the paper work would be coming shortly. Brent was in the office and listening to the conversation. I was thankful that He was my witness to what was happening at that very moment, lest I thought later that I was dreaming the whole thing up!
The Lord and only the Lord could have worked this out! All praise and glory to Him! We have seen Him show His awesome power! That day we had worship meetings here at camp for what He has done. Now work can go forward again. We can finish insulating, get the well pump installed, finish the heating system, and begin the dry wall.
Thank you for praying. Our Lord has answered! Praise Him today for His wonderful works!
